Academic Director's Message

Dear Parents, Assalamualaikum.
Welcome to the 2026 school year. I hope you and your child are enjoying a peaceful and refreshing winter break after the Final Examination. I also hope our beloved students feel rested, inspired, and ready to embrace a new academic journey. As we proudly complete 27 remarkable years of Chittagong Ideal High School, my heart is filled with gratitude, joy, and renewed determination. Together, we step into another year of possibilities, growth, and achievements for our children.

Thank you wholeheartedly for choosing CIHS as the educational home for your beloved child (ren). It is your trust that empowers us, your encouragement that strengthens us, and your partnership that allows us to dream bigger for our students. You are an essential part of our learning community, and I deeply appreciate your continuous support, positivity, and commitment to educational excellence. I look forward to another year of collaboration, connection, and shared success. Over the past few years, we have taken many thoughtful and impactful steps to enhance teaching, learning, and overall academic performance.

Our declaration of 2025 as the “Academic Achievement Year” accelerated meaningful reforms. Highly qualified Mentors for every subject continue to guide our teachers with leadership, monitoring, and timely support. Along with the Management Team, they assist students who face academic or socio-emotional difficulties, ensuring “No child left Behind” and every learner receives the care they need. As we all know, adolescents today face rapidly changing social and emotional challenges.

To ensure their well-being, we strengthened our ‘Discipline Committee’ with more efficient and compassionate members who are dedicated to guiding students, supporting behavioral development, and safeguarding their mental health. Last year, as in previous years, we conducted several special assessments after each chapter to ensure better preparation for the Annual Examination. These targeted tests helped students master their lessons and boosted their confidence. We were overjoyed to see so many students achieving excellent results.

InshaAllah, we believe they will continue to shine even brighter in the future. We have also successfully trained all teachers and fully implemented the new curriculum across all classes. We are happy to introduce our new “After School Program” coming year of 2026, designed to support students with home work, skill-building activities, creativity and safe supervision after regular school hours. This program aims to help children learn, explore and grow in a caring environment and one stop center for all core subjects.

If you have visited the school recently, you may have seen the transformation with your own eyes. Our front wall now features a beautiful “Ideal School” mural that brings joy to students and visitors. More surveillance cameras have been installed to ensure the safety, discipline, and smooth operation of daily activities. Both interior and exterior cameras help us monitor the campus more effectively.

We proudly completed the construction of our new Auditorium and an extra Student Elevator. The Library, Science Lab, Audio-Visual Room, Computer Lab, Multimedia Room, and Spoken English Lab have all been renovated with a fresh, modern look.

We have appointed trained nurses to provide first aid. Our newly built Auditorium, named after our Founder Trust Chairman Late A. K. Mahmudul Hoque, now stands as a symbol of pride, accommodating 700 people. We also constructed a spacious kitchen and two beautiful dining halls where 300 students can enjoy their meals at a time. We are delighted to share that, beginning in the 2026–2027 academic year, we will be opening college section, gradually Classes 11 and 12 in phases. We warmly encourage the students who will be appearing for the upcoming SSC examination to continue their studies in our newly established college section.

To ensure the successful launch and smooth operation of our college programs, we sincerely seek the cooperation and support of our beloved students and esteemed parents. As we prepare for another successful and productive school year in 2026, all teams are working tirelessly—teachers are completing Refresher Courses, orientation sessions are ongoing, and lesson schemes and plans are being refined with utmost care. Our devoted office staff is busy with new admissions, organizing materials, and updating student documents. Dear Parents, your involvement is the backbone of our success.

We aim to build an unbreakable bridge of understanding among teachers, students, and parents. The Student Diary remains an effective tool for communication and helps students build responsibility, discipline, and organizational habits. Please encourage your child to attend school regularly, because “Attendance is the key to success.” Students who attend consistently grow not only academically but also emotionally and socially. Finally, I want to assure you that all our teachers and staff are dedicated to creating a positive, safe, and enriching environment for every child.
